Lionsgate has announced that it is moving ahead with its release date X saw We also shared our first look at Tobin Bell’s return as serial killer John “Jigsaw” Kramer. The sequel is now hitting theaters on September 29, one month earlier than its previous date of October 27.
X saw The film takes place between the events of the first two films and is primarily a critique of the healthcare sector. “Ailing and despondent, John travels to Mexico for a risky experimental medical procedure in the hopes of obtaining a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover that the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable,” the official letter reads. Armed with a newfound purpose, the notorious serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the crooks in his own visceral way through devious, distorted, and ingenious traps.

The film is directed by Kevin Greutert from a screenplay penned by Peter Goldfinger and Josh Stollberg, with Mark Burg and Oren Kolis as producers. The cast also includes Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Sinof Makudi Lund, Stephen Brand, and Michael Beach.
