Ed Sheeran added Eminem to the equation for the Detroit leg of his ongoing “Mathematics Tour,” as the pair performed “Lose Yourself” and “Stan” in front of the rapper’s hometown crowd.
“I wondered if I could play you a cover of Eminem’s song tonight,” Sheeran began. “I think you know that. We rehearsed it today. We’ll see how it goes.” After playing the intro to “Lose Yourself” and rocking admirably from the first few lines, Slim Shady takes the stage to finish the opening verse. Although the rapper looked just as fierce as he did in the original 8 miles The singer-guitarist cuts his own twist with some nice harmonies during the chorus.
After the song was cut, Sheeran made noise by telling the crowd, “Can I say, ‘He’s going to go out and do one song, but I said you can’t go out in Detroit and just sing one song.
