Dear Buffalo,
I’m so glad you started writing me letters again. It reminds me of those years when I was still a young cadet in the army. We were eighteen, we had just met. At the time, we weren’t apart until I left those summer rehearsals, and it didn’t last that long, two months at most. Then there was no other means of communication than the post office. No phone, no texts, no voicemails. Only the post office and your handwritten letters. You saved them all! We were young, life was ahead of us. I hope that life is still ahead of us, and that it will be a very, very long time…
