Taylor Swift has revealed a new music video for “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version)” from her new album, Speak now (Taylor version). Watch it below.
The action-packed clip imagines Swift’s younger self locked inside a basement. Joey King and Presley Cash, who previously appeared in Swift’s video for “Mean,” along with Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Taylor Lautner, team up to take out the singer.
“I wrote this video therapy over a year ago and really wanted to symbolically explain how it felt to have my fans help me get my music back,” Swift wrote in a tweet accompanying the video’s release. My heart goes out to Joey King, Taylor Lautner, and Presley Cash. Joey and Presley were in the video for “Mean” when they were 9 and 13 and they’re back and so bad ass!! Taytay is incredible at this (he didn’t have a stunt double!) and shouts on [his wife] Ty Lautner for being too cool to comment on. The Tale of 3 Taylors 😆 I always wanted to direct the fight scenes/heist storyline and I had the most incredible time planning this with the amazing DP Jonathan Sylla. Very proud of this. “
Swift premiered the video during her “Eras Tour” concert in Kansas City on Friday night. King, Lautner, and Cash joined her on stage to celebrate the video’s release. “I respect you so much. Not just for a singer, you’re a songwriter, you’re a performer — but really for a human being. You’re gentle, down-to-earth, and kind, and it’s an honor to know you,” Lautner told Swift during a short speech.
