Big congratulations to Netta Strauss. Guitarist Alice Cooper got engaged to drummer and longtime friend Josh Vilalta, better known as Josh V, during her record edition showcase for her new solo album, Void Call. The party took place on the night of Thursday, July 6, in Los Angeles.
Josh got down on one knee to ask Strauss for her hand in marriage onstage in front of the packed crowd at Whiskey A Go Go, receiving an impassioned “Yes” from the talented guitarist. It’s all captured in photos and video, with Sumerian Records’ Mike Jacopo sharing some clips on social media (see below). He posted, “Nita Strauss record release party….more than that…it has turned into an engagement party! Congratulations @hurricanenita and @thejoshv for everything. It’s such an honor to share your amazing moments. Really.”

Strauss has been vocal about her love for Josh over the years. On their anniversary January 12th in 2021, she made a social media post declaring her love for Josh.
“Yes he is strong, smart, creative, brave, and he makes me laugh, which are all qualities I cherish in him,” she wrote. “But perhaps most importantly – he protects me and our little family at all costs. He pushes me even when I don’t want to be pushed, and every time it makes me better. I love watching his amazing ideas come to life, whether it’s me or him. I can’t wait until You guys can hear the music he’s working on. It’s really something else to watch these songs come to life. We’ve made some big moves lately, and our journey isn’t the easiest, but there’s no one I’d rather be with. It’s us against the world. I love you baby! Happy Anniversary !”
In a 2019 interview with Audio Ink Radio, Strauss commented, “Josh has been my friend, manager, and drummer – he does just about everything in the Nita Krauss world he would expect to play actual guitar! It’s amazing, because no one cares more about me than anyone who cares Really B. There are a lot of managers who do a great job for their clients, but at the end of the day, they don’t share their hopes and dreams for the future, so the person managing my career puts those things at heart, not just what’s going on to make money for me now. It’s a great relationship. “.
Void Call Arrived today (July 7th). To go along with its release, Strauss unveiled an animated music video for new single “Digital Bullets” featuring Motionless in White’s Chris Motionless (see below).
