On Friday, July 7, a diplomatic source said that France will stop mass returns of wives and children of jihadists detained in camps in northeastern Syria, such as those carried out this week, for lack of volunteers.
“All the mothers who expressed their desire to leave Syria after being returned, there will be no more operations of this kind.”
On Tuesday, July 4, France returned 10 women and 25 children from Syria. This was the fourth such operation in a year.
