A fan of Machine Gun Kelly attended his set in Rock Werchter with a specific request: to punch a pop-punk musician in the face.
MGK seemed reluctant at first, most likely due to the potential consequences of hitting the fan, who had flown in from Mexico to attend his show in Belgium. “Why do you want me to punch you in the face so hard?” he asked after reading the fan sign. “I got rings, dude—that shit’s going to hurt. I don’t know… It’s a loss for me. I don’t know if I would. I’ll think.”
When MGK finally ventured into the crowd, he sought to shield himself from liability by looking directly into the camera while clearly showing the fan sign. Then he threw a fast right hook. “I love you!” said the musician, returning to the stage.
MGK later posted a video of the encounter on Instagram with the caption: “Dreams Fulfilled.”
It’s unclear why the fan in question would seek to get punched – though as a Machine Gun Kelly consumer, he was indeed a voracious for punishment. I’m kidding I’m a kid!
