Trent Reznor Pinpoints Dua Lipa’s Song That Made Him “Tear Up”

Trent Reznor recently revealed that he “cries” when listening to Dua Lipa’s song. Now, the Nine Inch Nails frontwoman has identified the song in question: her 2020 song, “Levitating.”

Originally commented on Rick Rubin’s podcast, Tetragrammaton, when Reznor said he reevaluated his opinion that pop music is “bad in general” after hearing his daughter sing along to one of Lipa’s songs. “She’s excited about it, which is great,” he explained. “It really reminded me of the art of writing a well-crafted song — I got the hang of listening to ‘Dua Lipa,’ because it was just a good piece of music, you know?”
