The trio talk about the journey to releasing an LP after the pandemic derailed, finding their sound, and discovering what the songs would be like. Jones and Lane also delve into the idea that the songs are a conversation between the two, themes of death and rebirth, and how a cover of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” gave them sonic direction:
“When you have a connection to the sounds, it’s rare,” Jones explains. “And we just ended up experimenting with doing a Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks track, and it really, really worked out. And we just said, Should we write some songs together?”
