new Harry Potter TV series may be in the works at HBO Max, bloomberg reports.
According to sources, Warner Bros. Discovery hopes to air the series on the HBO streaming service, despite talks between the company and Harry Potter JK Rowling is still in its infancy. If that happens, the series will be based on the original book series, and not on a spinoff like Fantastic Beasts Movie series. What’s more, each season will be tied to a specific book, which means the deal will easily extend for several years.
Rowling’s transphobia has been a barrier to entry for some (including Daniel Radcliffe, who played the titular character in her series in the films), but Harry Potter It’s still very much a thriving and beloved franchise.
Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets It hit cinemas last year, after 2016 Fantastic beasts and where to find them and 2018 Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
