A passenger train derailment killed one person and injured 30, including 19 seriously, on Tuesday 4 April in Voorschoten between The Hague and Amsterdam in the south of the Netherlands, emergency services said.
One person died and at least thirty others were injured. 11 people were collected from the local population, while the seriously injured were taken to the hospital.The same source said.

He added that the train derailed at around 3:25 am (2:25 am Paris time) after hitting construction equipment on the track in this village on the northeastern outskirts of The Hague. According to “Leidsch Dagblad”, the front part of the train fell into the side, the central part on its side ended up along the track and the rear part caught fire. The fire is out now.
