On Friday, Beyoncé announced her collaboration with French luxury fashion house Balmain. The singer said that she co-created a haute couture collection with the creative director of Balmain – Olivier Rousteing. The announcement came a day after it was reported that Adidas and Beyoncé’s Ivy Park had mutually decided to go their separate ways after working together for five years in a partnership.

Elman’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, is someone who continues to innovate and step up his creativity, Beyoncé said in a statement. She said, “From our first meeting to his creations over the years to my performances and appearances, I knew that one day I would be working with him on set.” Beyoncé also said that she is proud of the group she created with Rousteing and happy with the synergy that has formed between the two teams.
On the other hand, Rousteing expressed his gratitude to Beyoncé and said that the latter inspired the designer to expand his vision of fashion. The singer’s commitment, his messages, his melodies and everything was very inspiring.
Beyoncé also shared a video from the couture collection on Instagram where she thanked the collaborator for bringing the Renaissance to the human form and Vogue magazine for sharing her vision with the world.
Beyoncé will appear on the cover of Vogue France for the April issue. On the cover, she is seen wearing a revealing dress with a black velvet thermoformed cap and rhinestones. When the singer posted the cover of Vogue France to her Instagram page, Beyoncé added the lyrics I’m That Girl which is the opening title to the Renaissance album. Beyoncé wrote: “She touches everything from my normal point of view, and everything next to me lights up too.”
