From Deputy Dibley to her endless impressions, Dawn French has been a leading woman in comedy for decades.
But that doesn’t mean she is resting on her laurels.

For this year’s fundraiser, Dawn has turned her acting skills into one of the best reality shows on both sides of the world – The Traitors.
Popular after a season of Unfamous Rivals that aired in the UK and the Celebrity version in the US, Traitors involves a lot of backstabbing and betrayal.
On the sitcom, Dawn has brought together a group of popular characters from various industries.
From Ewan McGregor to supermodel David Gandy, the utterly gorgeous Jennifer Saunders to even Dame Mary Berry, it was a shocking sitcom that culminated in Spot Down on an impression from BBC host Claudia Winkleman.
Claudia was such a huge fan of Dawn’s posing that the couple posed together earlier this month, giving fans online a double-vision!
After the sitcom aired, fans took to social media to pay tribute to Dawn.

One contestant, Maddie, who appeared on UK season of Traitors, wrote about meeting the funny lady: “They say you’ve never met your idols, I say meet them because Dawn_French was so cool and he was really watching me![sic] »

And the only person who can match Dawn’s hilarious antics is… Dawn herself.
Many fans said this new sitcom was only surpassed by the now-popular 3D animation that saw Dawn French put her Frenchie in a kiss with Hugh Grant.
Dawn dated Notting Hill star Hugh in 1995 wearing a dress held in with safety pins, an ode to the Versace look made famous by Hugh’s friend Elizabeth Hurley.
After playing shy for a while, Dawn and Hugh ended up together for a very long time – just for laughs out loud.
After their famous kiss, Dawn went on to hug gorgeous couples, including Johnny Depp, George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
