Paris, France – Crew Emily in Paris Walk the red carpet on Tuesday, December 6 at the City of Lights for the world premiere of Season 3 of the hit Netflix series, dominating the Avenue Montaigne stage.
Creator Darren Star explained that the upcoming shows delve deeper into the characters.
“Everyone has powerful stories – it’s not just about Emily anymore,” said Starr.
Set for release on December 21, the new season of TV comedy stars Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, an American who moves from Chicago to the French capital for a marketing job.
“Emily this season is a little bit more grounded, she’s confident, she’s a little bit more French,” said Collins.
Watched by 58 million households in its first month, the series debuted during the height of pandemic lockdowns in 2020 and became the most popular comedy on Netflix that year.
Kate Walsh, who plays Madeline Wheeler, noticed more people on the streets during filming this season.
She angered France with her caricatures of Parisians while inspiring dozens of foreign visitors to the capital to take selfies in front of the Eiffel Tower and dine at Emilie’s favorite spots.
“Tourism in Paris is going really well, everyone’s wearing hats,” said William Abadie, who plays the perfumer.
Filipino Leroy Beaulieu, who plays Emily’s French boss, said that while the show pokes fun at the French, it’s also goofing around Americans — but hinted at a new collaboration between her character and Emily.
“I think it affects Emily a lot more than Emily realizes and Emily affects her a lot, too,” said Leroy Beaulieu.
Two new cast members, Paul Foreman and Melia Creeling, are joining the upcoming series.
Foreman, who plays the rich son, said one of the characters, Nicholas, is looking to “establish himself as an individual”. – rappler.com
