Kirstie Alley, Emmy Award-winning actress best known for her role as Rebecca Howe cheers, She died at the age of 71. Her family announced the news on social media, revealing that she passed away after a short battle with cancer.
“We are saddened to tell you that our amazing, fierce and loving mother has passed away following a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” Ally’s family said. “She was surrounded by her closest family and fought so hard, leaving us with the certainty of her endless joy in living and of any adventures that lay ahead. Alley starred in a number of films in the 1980s, including summer schoolAnd the Shoot to killAnd the look who’s Talking. Her breakout role with the NBC comedy cheers, where she played Rebecca Howe from 1987 to 1993. She won a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her work on the show.
